Mrs. Mariam Khosravani
As the Executive Director of the Coastline Community College Foundation in
Orange County, California, she is in charge of the College Foundation and
its assets and raises funds to assist over 18,000 students.
Mariam is passionate about humanitarian aid and while assisting in the
expansion of several non-profit organizations in Southern California, she
has raised over millions of dollars for various local, national and
international organizations. Mariam has been active in the field of
philanthropy as a consultant, speaker, and trainer for the last ten years.
She is a prominent leader of the Persian community in California and has
served as an unofficial ambassador for the community at large in
developing and enhancing the Persian image and presence among the key
business and political figures in the area. She has also served as a media
consultant and spokesperson for the community.
She is on the board of The Africa Project to raise awareness regarding the
plight of AIDS orphans and children in Africa and to assist with food,
clothing, school fees, medical care and other basic necessities. The
Africa Project also seeks to fund special projects that create an enduring
improvement in the community.
Mariam has been one of the founding members of NIPOC, Network of Iranian
Professionals of Orange County some 15 years ago. She has served as
President, board member, and advisory member. She has also headed the
Mehregan Celebration project (Persian Autumn Festival) in Orange County,
which hosts more than 15,000 visitors at its two-day events.
