Mr. Sassan Ghahramani

Sassan Ghahramani is the President and CEO of Medley Global Advisors, a macro-political advisory service to hedge funds, institutional investors, and asset managers. As such he runs MGA's G-7, Emerging Markets, US Equity, and Oil and Energy services. He joined MGA in 1998 after 12 years of experience in the financial markets, mainly institutional foreign exchange trading. In addition to FX trading he has managed a spot desk, ran proprietary risk positions, and advised clients on markets. Prior to MGA he worked at Lehman Brothers, AIG Trading, UBS and Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase). He is a 1983 graduate of Brown University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, combining Political Science, History, and Economics. He holds a Master's of Business Administration in Finance from New York University and has studied at Harvard University and the University of Madrid. He grew up in Madrid, Moscow, and Ottawa in addition to spending some periods in Tehran and Shiraz before moving to the United States in 1979 for college.
