Mrs. Sadri Garakani

Sadri Garakani has over thirty years of experience working for cultural and educational institutions. She is recognized for her cultural, community, and fundraising leadership acumens.

Sadri has served on the Board of numerous non-profit organizations and has been actively engaged in leading fundraising and education efforts. These include serving as a Board Member for the American Health Foundation and SUNY Upstate Medical University. In 2006, Sadri was asked to serve on the Advisory Board of the Disaster Psychiatry Outreach Committee (DPO). DPO's mission is to provide mental health services at disaster sites in conjunction with government and private charitable organization. During September 11th response, DPO played the central role in the mental health response to the WTC attack.

Sadri holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Tehran University, and a Master's degree in Psychology from New York University. She is married and has two children.
