Behrad Mahdi

Behrad Mahdi is currently the Special Projects Assistant to the Executive Office of City Year, Inc. CEO Alan Khazei in Boston, MA. He first arrived on the east coast early in 2004 to work for Boston 2004, Inc., the host committee for the Democratic National Convention as Operations Liaison. Following the convention, Behrad led a successful re-election campaign for Massachusetts State Representative Alice Wolf (25th-Middlesex) as campaign manager.

Behrad's political experience includes work as a Press Deputy for the California Democratic Party's 2002 Coordinated Campaign Headquarters in Los Angeles, political organizing in Ohio and Michigan for the John Kerry for President Campaign, and political organizing with the Ohio Democratic Party. He also assisted news coverage of the 2000 Republican National Convention and the 2000 Presidential Inauguration for Reuters.

Behrad was born and raised in the Upper-Midwest and received his B.A. in Mathematics and Politics from Oberlin College.
