Mercedeh Salem
Mercedeh Salem was born in Tehran and currently
resides in California where she has lived since
1976. Ms. Salem received her bachelor's degree
in Anthropology from Santa Clara University and
is currently a third year law student at Santa
Clara University School of Law.
Prior to law school Ms. Salem worked in Silicon
Valley for five years as a web development project
manager for companies such as Fujitsu Inc. and
later as a consultant for Cisco Systems. Upon
completion of her first year in law school, Ms.
Salem was ranked 11th in her class and has received
numerous academic scholarships. While pursuing
her law degree she has worked at the Santa Clara
District Attorney's Office and was a summer law
clerk at the Department of Justice in Washington
DC. Ms. Salem also devotes her time to various
charitable organizations and is the president
of the Santa Clara Middle Eastern Law Students
Association.
