The Iranian American Political Action Committee
(IAPAC) is a non-connected/non-partisan political
committee. The purpose of IAPAC is to solicit
contributions which are in compliance with federal
and state laws and promote the election of candidates
for public office who are in tune to the domestic
concerns and demands of the Iranian American community.
The goal of IAPAC is to ensure that Iranian Americans
have an influential voice and presence in the
American electoral and legislative process. IAPAC
is focused on the needs of our community in the
United States and is not concerned with issues
pertaining to U.S. foreign policy towards Iran.
IAPAC is committed to enhancing Iranian American
participation in the American electoral process
by rewarding candidates who are responsive to
our community's needs while challenging those
with opposing viewpoints. The Federal Election
Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, permits the
establishment of Political Action Committees (PAC)
for the purpose of raising and spending funds
to elect and defeat candidates for public office.
While individuals are permitted to donate no more
then $2,000 to any one candidate per election,
federal law permits a multi-candidate PAC, once
qualified, to legally contribute $5,000 per election
to candidates running for federal office. The
