Daniel Crenshaw serves as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 2nd congressional district. He was elected in the 2018 midterms and currently serves on the Homeland Security and Budget Committees. 

Crenshaw is and former United States Navy SEAL who served in Afghanistan and in the Middle East.  He grew up in Ecuador and Colombia, gaining proficiency in Spanish.

Crenshaw is considered a rising star in Congress and the GOP.  He believes that border security should be the number one immigration priority but also supports legal immigration and has been critical of rhetoric against Muslims and hateful speech.  Crenshaw was a co-host of PAAIA’s  Nowruz reception on Capitol Hill.
