The DSCC supports the election of Democrats to the U.S. Senate through direct financial contributions to candidates and provides technical and research assistance to candidates and party organizations. It is the only organization solely dedicated to electing more Democrats to the United States Senate. From grassroots organizing to candidate recruitment to providing campaign funds for tight races, the DSCC is working hard all year, every year to increase the number of Democratic Senators.

The DSCC's current chairman is U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), who succeeded Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) following the 2008 elections.

By contributing to the DSCC, IAPAC will receive annual membership to the Democratic Senate Roundtable. The Roundtable provides an opportunity for IAPAC to meet with Democratic Senators to discuss public policy issues and educate them about the Iranian American community.
