"Thank you so much for your recent contribution to my reelection campaign. It is a great honor to serve in the United States Congress and with your kind support I will be able to continue my work focusing on issues important to both our community and nation."
John Mica
U.S. House of Representatives (R-7th/FL)

John L. Mica is currently serving his 8th term in the 110th Congress representing Florida's 7th Congressional District, which stretches across six counties from the suburban areas north of Orlando to the Jacksonville city limits. Mica is a member of the Oversight & Government Reform Committee and is the ranking member on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee.
Congressman Mica has been recognized as a national leader in transportation issues. He has spearheaded legislative efforts to improve our nation's infrastructure and to expedite Florida's highway and interstate expansion. Congressman Mica has also led efforts to develop local and state transportation alternatives. In 2007, he was elected by his peers his peers to serve as the Republican Leader of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
Mica is an original cosponsor of House Resolution 476 condemning discrimination and bigotry against Iranian Americans.
