Barbara Comstock

U.S. House of Representatives (R-10th/VA)

Barbara Comstock was elected in November of 2014, to represent Virginia’s 10th Congressional District which includes Loudoun, Prince William and Fairfax Counties. From 2010 to 2014, she was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Comstock currently serves on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and the Science, Space & Technology Committee, where she serves as Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Research and Technology.

Comstock is considered to be one of the most moderate Republicans in the House or Representatives. While she is opposed to amnesty for non documented immigrants, she has voted to increase visas for foreign workers and increased funding for refugee resettlement to allow for an increase of 10,000 refugees in 2016. Along with the entire Republican caucus in both chambers of Congress, Comstock opposed the Iran nuclear agreement (JCPOA).

Comstock is a co-host of PAAIA’s annual Nowruz reception on Capitol Hill. Her office has also participated in PAAIA’s annual Capitol Hill Internship Program (CHIP)
