U.S. House of Representatives (D-28th/CA)
Adam Schiff is the U.S. Representative for California's 28th congressional district, having served in congress since 2001. Schiff serves as the Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which oversees US intelligence agencies. He is also a Member of the Benghazi Select Committee and is on a leave of absence from the House Appropriations Committee.
Throughout his tenure, Schiff has focused on economic growth, national security, small businesses, education reform, and healthcare. In terms of foreign policy, Schiff has been a long-time advocate of diplomacy, intelligence reform, and preventive measures for states at-risk of becoming failed states.
Schiff cosponsored H.Res.676, which affirms the US House of Representatives' support for the freedom of expression for Iranians in the wake of protests in Iran. He also co-sponsored H.R.724 and H.R.1503, which sought to prevent execution of the first two iterations of the Travel Ban.
